Welcome to Wakefield Hospice: a provider of specialist palliative care for patients, families and carers
From April 2nd 2010, Wakefield Hospice will be celebrating its 20th anniversary. Founded in 1982 and opened in 1990 by the people of Wakefield we have over the years changed, developed and embraced many opportunities. As Charles Darwin said, "It is not the strongest of the species that survive, or the most intelligent, but the most responsive to change".
A 20 year anniversary is a milestone in any walk of life and offers a time of reflection but also a time of thanks and all the staff and patients wish to express their heartfelt thanks to everyone who has helped to raise the necessary funds to maintain the vital hospice service for the last two decades.
