Mrs Audrey Mills lived in Stanley and was a supporter of the hospice for many years. We're extremely grateful to Audrey for leaving a gift to help care for future generations. Audrey worked as a nurse at Stanley Royd Hospital until she retired.
She’s the nurse in the middle of the picture on the left, which we think was taken on Ivy Ward at Stanley Royd Hospital in the late 1960s or early 1970s. Audrey’s kind support has helped ensure the hospice is here to care for local families.
