It is estimated that in the UK alone, over 30,000,000 printer cartridges are dumped into landfill sites every year. Joining our recycling scheme would mean that you would be decreasing the amount of waste that is put into our landfills, thus helping to solve many environmental issues, but also helping to raise vital funds for Wakefield Hospice. |
Q. Who can join?
A. Anyone! Just think how many cartridges you throw away each year. Whether you are an individual who only has one cartridge to donate or you are a company with hundreds of printers and employees, we can help dispose of your waste in an environmentally friendly way and raise money at the same time.
Q. What cartridges do you recycle?
A. Our recycling partner, Lasercharge, will pay cash to the hospice for all inkjet and toner cartridges that they can recycle. New specifications are developing all the time, so please check that the cartridges that you use are recyclable.
Q. How much will it cost me?
A. Our scheme is totally free to join, we even provide a free collection service. All that we ask is that you spare the time to save the cartridges.
Q. How do I join?
A. To make things as simple as possible, there is no registration process to go through. Just start saving your empty cartridges and ask your friends/colleagues to do the same. Find an empty box and once you have filled it, call the fundraising department at the hospice, tel: 01924 213900 who will arrange collection or simply drop your cartridges at any of our hospice shops or the Waste Services recycling plant on Denby Dale Road, Wakefield.
