United Business Centres, based on CalderPark, organised a Christmas raffle as part of their Business Buddy fundraising efforts for the hospice.

Reception manager Anna Dodson encouraged companies based within the building to donate gifts and was so successful that she was able to fill ‘to bursting’ a wicker picnic hamper and still have gifts left to use as runner-up and third prize.

The same businesses, as well as visitors to UBC, then bought raffle tickets ahead of the draw, which was held on Wednesday 19 December and raised a magnificent £157.

Daphne Leach, speaking on behalf ofWakefield Hospice just ahead of drawing the winning tickets said:

“ United Business Centres has been a supporter of the hospice since it first opened its doors for business in Wakefield. Anna has once again done a superb job in organising this year’s Christmas raffle and I’m delighted to accept the £157 proceeds. Everyone at the hospice is grateful for your continued support.”
