Gift Aid & Tax Efficient Giving

Making your gifts go further....

It is recognised that 70% of the population give to charity. However, only one in three do so tax efficiently, meaning that both the donor and charity are missing out on the millions of pounds available in tax reliefs.

Legislation governs many parts of our lives and making a donation may not be an exception. Three key taxes affect a gift: income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax. Tax reliefs can reduce the impact of each of these taxes either by allowing the charity to reclaim tax already paid by the tax payer or by allowing the taxpayer to pay less tax. Either way means a significant reduction in the real cost of charitable gifts for the donor and an increase in the net value of the donation for the charity.
