Sunday 28th March marks a special day in the Wakefield Hospice calendar as it is the official launch of our 20th anniversary year celebrations.The City 10K Road Race is one of our long standing fundraising events – this year’s is the 15th annual race.In total over the years the races have raised a fantastic £119,527.34 for Wakefield Hospice!
The City 10k Road race starts from ThornesPark and follows a route around the town. Also included in the event are two fun runs, 1km long and 3km long around Clarence Park and also a 10k wheelchair race.
This is such a special event for the hospice that we would like to invite everyone to take part and join in with our first event of the anniversary year.You do not need to be an avid runner, you simply need to be have a reasonable level of fitness and be prepared to give it a go!
