Lake-ing Around at Pugneys!
July saw a busy weekend at Pugneys for the Hospice as they represented teams in the Jane Tomlinson Swim For All event and was one of the chosen charities in the Rotary Dragon Boat.
The hospice entered two boats that consisted of Hospice staff, supporters and representatives from the Business Buddy scheme. Although the determination to win was evident amongst the teams, the hospice finished middle of the results table, but it is safe to say a good day was had by all – and nobody fell over board!
The following morning 8 local supporters donned their wetsuits to raise money for the hospice as they swam 1500m across Pugneys Lake in the first open water swim. The hospice hopes to raise a fantastic £1500.
Didn’t they do swimmingly!
