London Marathon Runners 2010
On Sunday 25th April 2010, thirteen people ran the London marathon to raise funds for Wakefield hospice.
Between them they raised over £11,000 for hospice funds.
Well done to you all.
The photograph shows some of the runners (not the baby) wearing their medals with pride at a presentation evening at the hospice.

Picture 3rd from left is Neil Oates from Horbury.
Neil and his wife Alison entered the marathon to raise funds for the hospice but about 6 months prior to the race Alison sadly died unexpectedly.
Despite his own traumas however, Neil still wanted to run the marathon in memory of his wife and to the benefit of others at Wakefield Hospice. He completed the race in triumphant style and raised a magnificent £2,063 for our cause along the way.
