The Wakefield Hospice Midnight Walk took place on the 16th July and was a huge success.
On the stroke of Midnight when many people in Wakefield were tucked up in their beds, over 400 walkers took to the streets in an attempt to raise £25,000 for Wakefield Hospice.
With all the sponsorship, match giving and gift aid, the event has raised approximately £27,000 to date.
Tanya Arnold, Sports TV presenter from Look North encouraged everyone in the mass warm up and we were delighted that she agreed to walk with our supporters.
The atmosphere on the night was amazing, a mixture of fun and poignancy.
All walkers were supported by an army of 30 fantastic volunteers who gave their time freely and with great heart.
