Volunteering

The Volunteer Services Department at Wakefield Hospice welcomes enquiries from anyone who wishes to volunteer for Wakefield Hospice. Volunteering is an excellent way of 'making a difference' and has many rewards. Volunteer information events take place throughout the year. The next event is on Wednesday 7th March between 10am and 12 noon at the Hospice.

Volunteers work alongside our staff members in most areas of the Hospice, in our warehouse and shops and in our local Fundraising Groups. They also help at Fundraising events which are held throughout the year.

Volunteers come from all walks of life and bring their own skills and experiences. Their commitment varies but is usually on a regular basis, at a mutually convenient time (minimum age is 16).

Ongoing support, supervision and training are always available.
