All we ask is for a few hours of your time on a regular basis. You do not need any previous experience as full training is provided.
There are voluntary opportunities in most areas of the hospice and in its retail outlets. Please note that a minimum age of 18 applies to roles in patient areas.
IMMEDIATE VACANCIES
Gardeners - to maintain our new landscaped grounds. As Spring approaches we need many more helpers.
Retail Assistants - in Wakefield, Ossett, Horbury and Morley.
Donation sorters & showroom assistants - at our Warehouse in Thornes, Wakefield.
Donation Receivers - to take delivery of donated goods at the Warehouse and to enrol donors to the Gift Aid scheme
Book Sorter (based at the warehouse) - Needed to help us sort through thousands of books. If you have an interest in literature and can spot a collector's item, we need your help.
Volunteers for fundraising events - most suitable for those who can only help out on an 'ad hoc' basis. Various days and times throughout the year. Ideal for those who are in full time employment or education.
Admin Assistant - To help with Ebay trading at the warehouse.
Weekend Volunteers - Needed to help in various roles at the Warehouse.
