Students enrolled on counselling courses are invited to apply for one of the limited number of placements we have available from the Autumn of 2019. These placements are suitable for students in Diploma level training who have been assessed by their course tutors as ready to work with clients.
The Prince of Wales and Wakefield Hospices currently offer bereavement support services to people bereaved following the death of a hospice patient.
Selected candidates will be offered a placement based at either hospice. They will undergo two days of training in bereavement theory in addition to mandatory induction training. Our aim is to provide students with a well rounded experience of working as a counsellor within an organisational setting and as part of a multi disciplinary team.
Bereavement Counsellors Kath Atherton and Lisa Henry will be available to provide more information on the recruitment process and placement expectations.

Please email Kath or Lisa to indicate your attendance by Friday 26th July.
