Santa Dash in the City!

Thank you for your interest in the Wakefield Hospice Santa Dash in the City. Pre-registration has now closed but we still have places available in the event and welcome you to register on the day.  The registration desk will open at 7.45am, located outside H&M at Trinity Walk Shopping Centre and close at 8.30am (with the dash starting at 9am!)
 
Please note that there are no changing facilities on site!  Our Santa suits are designed to pull on over your clothes, so arrive dressed to dash and we will issue your suit at the event. Registration is £10 adults and £8 children.
 

We HO HO HOpe you will join us for the FIRST Wakefield City Santa Dash - raising much needed funds for Wakefield Hospice this Christmas!

Starting and finishing at Trinity Walk Shopping Centre this one mile fun run will leave you feeling festive as you join hundreds of other Santas in a dash to raise cash.  It will cost £7,452 to run the hospice on Christmas Day and Boxing Day - by taking part in this event you can help give people with an end of life diagnosis the best possible Christmas.

Before the dash sets off at 9am there will be a fun 'Santacise' warm up routine, led by Pure Gym and Tricks of the Trade will be there to play all your favourite songs (requests welcome!)

The Santa Dash is not a competitive event (there is no prize for coming first!) and is open to all ages and abilities. You are welcome to walk, jog, run or jingle all the way around the route, which is pram and wheelchair friendly.

Registration is £10 per person (£8 for children under the age of 12) for which you will receive a full Santa Suit to wear at the fun run and a medal once you have completed the dash. 

Child’s entry (under 5) £4.  Please note that you will NOT receive a costume for your child as we are unable to supply them for this size.  The £4 registration fee will ensure that they receive a running number and a medal at the end of the event.


 


There is no minimum sponsorship, however we ask that everyone tries to raise as much as they can!  Our aim is to raise the £7,452 that it will cost to run the hospice on Christmas Day and Boxing Day and we can only achieve this with your help. Your entry fee goes toward the cost of staging the event...we rely on your sponsorship to go to patient care.  Anyone who raises sponsorship will also receive one of our 'Super Santa Supporter' certificates, once their money has been received at the hospice.

This event is currently limited to 500 participants - we cannot guarantee any additional places beyond this. So if you want to be one of our Santas please book early to avoid disappointment!
