Wrapped in Care
Autumn Walks

Special thanks to our sponsors BGL Group who have covered the costs of this event. This means that ALL your registration fee will go to patient care - please encourage family and friends to join you the more people who take part, the more we will raise!

Please join us for our 'Wrapped in Care' sponsored walks on Sunday 6th October to help raise thousands of pounds for the patients and families of Wakefield Hospice.

Choose our 5 mile or 10 mile route - both are circular, starting and finishing at Wakefield Hospice. You can set off anytime between 8am and 11am and once you have completed the route our volunteers will be here with a warm welcome, a hot drink and a homemade slice of cake for you!

This is a very special day as it is our flagship event for Hospice Care Week (7-13 October). Every year hospices across the UK aim to raise awareness of the work that we do.  We are pleased to invite you to visit us...because after all, we wouldn't be able to care for local families facing tough times without your continued support.

There is no minimum sponsorship to raise but anything you contribute in the way of sponsorship or donations will directly benefit families in need in our community.

Registration for the event is £10 for an adult, £6 for a child or £25 for a family (2 adults and up to 3 children).

Dogs can take part in the walks and are welcome in the hospice gardens afterwards.

Please note that the walk routes are not wheelchair friendly. Buggies are welcome but on narrow footpaths may need to be collapsed and carried, there are also some steps and stiles along the way.  Sensible footwear is required - there are areas of uneven ground and may be muddy patches!
