Giving Tuesday 2020 (Tuesday 1 December)

As we approach the end of the year, many of us will be glad to see the back of 2020. It has been a difficult one for us all. But the reality is that there are still difficult times ahead.

GiveBack 2020 is an initiative by Giving Tuesday, when communities all across the world are being given a chance to take something positive from this year and help make a real difference to the charities who have supported us, our families and communities throughout the pandemic.

With charity shops closed and fundraising events cancelled it’s estimated charities will be facing a £10bn funding gap.

How can you GiveBack to Wakefield Hospice?

Wakefield Hospice is asking you to get involved to help recover some of the additional funds (nearly £10,000) spent on additional PPE since lockdown began.  These are essential, often single use items that keep everyone safe and allow services to continue.

To help keep things simple, we have devised a simple 3 tier approach
1.   Donate cash
2.  Spread the word
3.  Buy a Gift in Kind

TIER 1 – DONATE CASH

You can DONATE ONLINE HERE

Why not give back:-

  • the cost of a weekly commute now you’re working from home
  • the cost of a pint after 10pm
  • a day’s childcare costs saved

How much is entirely up to you.

TIER 2 – SPREAD THE WORD

Show your support with our personalised Facebook profile frame

1.  Go to your profile
2.  Edit profile image
3.  Click on ‘Add Frame’
4.  Search for GiveBack2020 WH

TIER 3 – BUY A GIFT OF KINDNESS

For £5 you can buy a PPE Gift of Kindness.

Whether you’re buying for the comfort in knowing exactly how your donation will make a difference or as a gift for someone else, you will receive a gift card to show how you have helped share the care.
