Items can be donated at our Warehouse, on Tadman Street, Thornes. To ensure the safety of our staff and supporters we have a booking system in place and would kindly ask that you book a time slot for your donation drop off. To book a donation slot please click here

Please note that at this time we are not accepting large items of furniture in your donation drop off slot, please use the link below for collections.
If you wish to request a collection of furniture please click here
Please note we may need to contact you regarding you collection. It is only possible to collect good quality saleable items. If you can't find the date or time you require please contact us on 01924 383294 during office hours. If our staff are unable to answer the phone please leave a message and we will call you back. 
Please note that the hospice is using for the purposes of booking and collection stock donations. is based in the UK and complies with all relevent data protection legislation. Your personal details are not shared with any third parties.
We are always in need of good quality items to sell and welcome your donations, so the next time you have a spring clean  please remember Wakefield Hospice may be able to benefit from your unwanted items.

We always require good quality items to sell in our shops, including:

  • Books
  • DVDs and CDs
  • Linen
  • Jewellery
  • Furniture
  • Bric-a-brac
  • Working electrical items, including white goods
  • Any items of value which can sell from our eBay shop

Help us to care by double checking your items before donating. This will help us to reduce our waste disposal costs and raise extra money for patient care.


Restricted Goods

For legal and safety reasons there are certain items we are not able sell while other items prove difficult to sell and take up valuable space. We cannot accept:


  • Crash/cycle helmets, visors and riding hats
  • Curtain poles and blinds
  • Children’s car seats
  • Pushchairs
  • Mattresses
  • Duvets & pillows
  • Fur
  • Gas appliances (including fires and cookers)
  • Oil heaters and burners
  • Upholstered furniture without the appropriate fire retardant label
  • Weapons including knives
  • Fireworks
  • Electric blankets
  • Hot water bottles
  • Petrol lawnmowers
  • Videos
  • Christmas trees & decorations
  • Corner units
  • Wall units
  • Glass TV stands
  • Dining tables without chairs
