Our warehouse on Tadman Street Thornes is currently closed for donations. You will be able to donate Items again from Thursday 3th December 2020. To ensure the safety of our staff and supporters we have a booking system in place and would kindly ask that you book a time slot for your donation drop off. To book a donation slot please book a donation drop off

Please note that at this time we are not accepting large items of furniture in your donation drop off slot, please use the link below for collections.
 
We are currently unable to collect items of furniture. We will be able to collect again from Thursday 3rd December 2020. If you wish to request a collection of furniture please book a collection 

Please note we will need to find out more information about your items as it is only possible to collect good quality saleable items. Your booking will then be confirmed. 
 
Please be aware that if the national lockdown is extended, your booking will be cancelled.

We are always in need of good quality items to sell and welcome your donations, so the next time you have a spring clean or house clearance, please remember Wakefield Hospice may be able to benefit from your unwanted items.

So don’t bin it, bag it up for Wakefield Hospice.
 

We always require good quality items to sell in our shops, including:

  • Clothes
  • Shoes
  • Books
  • DVDs and CDs
  • Linen
  • Jewellery
  • Furniture
  • Bric-a-brac
  • Working electrical items, including white goods
We can raise an extra 25p for every £1 your items raise if you agree to gift aid them. Please help us to care by asking our staff about gift aid.

  • Crash/cycle helmets, visors and riding hats
  • Curtain poles and blinds
  • Children’s car seats
  • Pushchairs
  • Mattresses
  • Duvets & pillows
  • Fur
  • Gas appliances (including fires and cookers)
  • Oil heaters and burners
  • Upholstered furniture without the appropriate fire retardant label
  • Weapons including knives
  • Fireworks
  • Electric blankets
  • Hot water bottles
  • Petrol lawnmowers
  • Videos
  • Christmas trees & decorations
  • Corner units
  • Wall units
  • Glass TV stands
  • Dining tables without chairs

Please ensure donated items are in a good & safe working condition and comply with current legislation.
