At the start of this year our supporters knitted hundreds of scarves, which were wrapped round the hospice as a symbol for the care that our community gives to helping local families in need of local hospice care. Now we need you to literally 'Wear the Care' this autumn and take the scarves out for a walk! On Sunday 10th October you can walk 5 or 10miles from Wakefield Hospice, wearing one of the lovingly knitted scarves - which you can keep as a gift following the event. On completion of the walk you'll receive a warm welcome from our team of volunteers, along with refreshments including homemade cakes! You can set off anytime between 8am and 11am and dogs are welcome. The routes are predominantly off road (on footpaths) and as such we do not advise this event to be pushchair or wheelchair friendly. Registration is just £10 per person. There is no minimum sponsorship to raise...we simply ask that you raise as much as you can for patient care at Wakefield Hospice.
