Thank you for supporting the Verbena Appeal by growing some beautiful flowers at home in memory of someone special. We’ve also planted some Verbenas at the hospice on behalf of people who don’t have access to a garden, and supporters will be welcome to visit the hospice garden to view these flowers once they come into bloom.
Whether you sow your seeds at home or simply enjoy knowing that the hospice is sowing some on your behalf, growing these flowers together after such a difficult year will symbolise renewed hope and optimism as we look ahead to the future.
The plants will start flowering either this summer or next summer, producing tall, purple blooms from July to October year after year.
The Verbena plants should start flowering either this summer or next summer, producing tall, purple blooms from July to October each year after they first start to flower. Once they start flowering you’re warmly invited to add a photo of your blooms to a special online gallery on the hospice website. You can also add a photo of the person you’re remembering.
Everyone is welcome to view the Verbena Gallery and see all the dedications. Whether your flowers start to bloom this summer or next year, together we will grow our online gallery as a long-term tribute to all those special people we’re celebrating with our beautiful floral display.
