I get a great sense of pride knowing I am helping and giving my time for such a wonderful cause.

Volunteering for Wakefield Hospice

Wakefield Hospice patients and families need YOUR SUPPORT and one way to do this is to VOLUNTEER. It's a great way to be part of the community, caring for the people who are important to us.

In a busy world, everyone’s time is precious, especially for those families receiving Hospice care. By sharing just a little of yours, you can help us to deliver the best care we can. Volunteers come from all walks of life and bring their own skills and experiences. Their commitment varies but is usually on a regular basis, at a mutually convenient time (minimum age is 14, 18 in areas of patient care). Volunteers work alongside our staff members in most areas of the Hospice, in our warehouse and shops and in our local fundraising groups. They also help at Fundraising events which are held throughout the year. Take a look at our current vacancies to find a role which appeals to you and suits your time availability.

Ongoing support, supervision and training are always available.
