Charity Shops join forces in national campaign for donations

The Choose Charity Shops campaign is being suported by Wakefield Hospice, who are offering a prize to whoever donates the most unusual item at one of our charity shops or at the warehouse on Tadman Street during next weeks campaign.

Wakefield Hospice, a registered charity, is committed to providing the highest level of symptom management and care for people who have advanced active, progressive and life threatening illness.

The Hospice endorses a holistic approach in promoting quality of life for patients as well as in the continuing support that is offered to families and carers through out the period of illness and into bereavement.

We have 16 beds - consisting of two wards and eight bedrooms which now have wet rooms and large patio doors leading out onto private areas. All the bedrooms have piped oxygen and pressure relieving air mattresses and additionally, state of the art falls prevention sensors are fitted to two bedrooms.
