Complimentary Therapies (Volunteer)

We are recruiting a patient, caring and enthusiastic individual to join our Nursing Team delivering Complimentary Therapies, in a voluntary capacity, on our In Patient Unit and Day Therapy Unit.

Based at the hospice

We are recruiting individuals who are sensitive, caring and are qualified Complimentary Therapists to assist our Day Therapy Unit (DTU) & In-Patient Unit (IPU) in a voluntary capacity.
As part of your role, your tasks may include:

Contribute to the development of the complementary therapy services at Wakefield Hospice
Be aware of and adhere to all the rules and regulations of the professional governing body to which they must belong
Maintain an awareness of the Hospice standards and protocols in relation to Complementary Therapies
Facilitate or support relaxation sessions
Offer the ‘M Technique’ massage therapy after training and assessment

Work with members of the multidisciplinary team
