Meet the Team at Wakefield Hospice

Here at Wakefield Hospice we are one big team made up of a number of clinical and non-clinical departments, including in-patient and day services, Fundraising, Retail, Finance, Human Resources, and many more.  

The hospice benefits from the contribution of over 400 people each year, some of whom are paid employees and some who give their time freely in support of our common goal.

We are governed by a Board of Trustees who, along with the CEO and the Senior Leadership Team, ensure that the hospice defines and meets strategic objectives whilst being compliant with all legislation.

Our care team is made up of many valued staff and volunteers. The care team is led by our senior nurses and our Director of Clinical Services.

Fundraising team
We rely on fundraising initiatives and the generosity of the community to help meet our annual running costs which exceed £4 million, of which over £3 million needs to be raised by voluntary contributions.
