How it works:

Clearing a house can be hard work, and leave people unsure what to do with the contents within. Before providing a quote we will arrange to visit the property so our dedicated team will be able to fully understand the task at hand, and establish which items are saleable, recyclable and non-recyclable. As such, we quote each House Clearance on a job-by-job basis.

About the service:
  • - Once the quote has been approved, our team will work with you to find a suitable date and then get to work with sorting out the task at hand 

  • - All staff are DBS-checked and trained to carry out their roles in a sympathetic and courteous manner

  • - Any saleable goods will be taken to our hospice shops, helping to raise more funds to support local hospice care across the Wakefield district

  • - Recyclable goods will be disposed of in the correct manner

  • - We provide a highly competitive rate to remove any non-recyclable and non-saleable items

  • - Our team make sure they leave every property in a clean and respectable condition

What are saleable and recyclable goods?

Through our network of charity shops and our eBay store, we are able to sell good quality items to raise further funds to support the care delivered here at Wakefield Hospice. Likewise, our recyclable system means items which unfortunately cannot be sold on will still be disposed of safely and responsibly.

Household items we are able to take include: Furniture (indoor and outdoor), Electrical Appliances, Homewares, Clothing, books and more

Items we are unfortunately unable to take include: Gas/Compressed Bottles, Building Materials, Petrol, Paint, Explosives, Medical Waste, Chemicals
