Friday Wellbeing Sessions

“We have made some great friends over the years at the Wellbeing Sessions, learnt some great tips and advice by sharing experiences and grown so much in confidence – it has changed our lives and it can change yours too, just give it a go, you will be glad you did.” Pat, Service User

About our Sessions

Every Friday we host our weekly Wellbeing Sessions in The Seymour Suite, a warm, friendly and safe space for people to come together.

These sessions are open to anyone living within the Wakefield district who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, along with their carer and/or significant other.

Wakefield Hospice Creative Group

In the winter of 2024 the Outreach Team at Wakefield Hospice hosted a 10-week art project, in collaboration with The Art House, to create a piece of artwork designed by local Wakefield residents and influenced from discussions around hospice and end-of-life care.

The project provided an expression of belonging, friendship and experience living with life-limiting conditions.

The project was funded with a Culture Grant by Wakefield Council as part of Our Year - Wakefield District 2024.
