Free Training for Dementia Carers - October-December 2022 - ALL SESSIONS FULLY BOOKED

8x free two-hour sessions at Wakefield Hospice where we will share tips, information and useful tools and resources that you can take away to help support you in your caring role at home. The person you are caring for is also invited to attend and will be supported in our Day Care Unit whilst you attend the sessions in a different room.  To find out more click here.

Bereavement Training - Supporting Children & Young People (December 2022)
  • Thurs 15th December 2022, 10am-2pm (limited spaces remaining)
  • Mon 19th December 2022, 10am-2pm (*New date added due to demand)

This FREE introductory workshop will focus on Children & Young People who have or are experiencing grief, loss and bereavement. You will:

- gain insight and understanding into children and young people's understanding of loss/death and the resulting impact
- be aware of the importance of language and honest communications
- explore creative methods used to support this group

The course is suited to professionals working with children, teachers, support workers, health visitors and community group leaders.
