We are recruiting a sensitive, caring and empathic Chaplain to join our Chaplaincy Rota based at the hospice, as a Chaplain Volunteer.
As part of your role, your tasks may include:
- Assessing, recognizing and responding to the multifaceted expressions of spirituality that may be encountered in patients, families and friends and Hospice staff
- Understanding and helping with specific theological beliefs and where necessary signposting towards specific support including religious practice
- Contributing towards an individualised plan of care for patients by liaising with the Inpatient and Day Therapy Unit leads and documenting information to support the plan in the patient’s notes.
- May be asked to contribute to a number of table top discussions around spiritual support, for Service users accessing the Day Therapy Unit
- Participate in Services of remembrance and reflection that may be held at various locations within the Wakefield District throughout the year.
- Provide support for the Hospice Induction programme for Hospice employees and Volunteers
