A Glittering Evening with Jane McDonald

Jane McDonald made a long anticipated return to her beloved hometown in a rare performance at the Theatre Royal on Wednesday 22nd February all in aid of Wakefield Hospice.

From the opening overture to the final encore Jane was simply sensational and wowed the audience with warmth, laughter, glamour and her truly powerful vocals.

Jane was emotional as she told the audience that the concert had exceeded her fundraising target of £20,000. The raffle and auction promises on the night look to raise the target by several thousand pounds. The spontaneous live auction included some of Jane’s gorgeous show gowns, and dinner dates offered as prizes by Justin Osmond (son of Merrill Osmond), who had
travelled from Los Angeles to support Jane and the Hospice. Blacker Hall Farm has offered to host the dinners at The Barn.

Prior to the event just over £1,000 was raised as Jane personally donated 4 top price tickets, travel and accommodation in a prize draw held via JustGiving.

We would like to thank Jane and her team for putting on such a wonderful concert and for making the night such a huge success. Thank you also to the fans and everyone that attended for their generosity. It was certainly a glittering evening to remember!
