Your loved one’s favourite clothes captured in a beautiful keepsake bear. Your bear will be designed and handstitched by one of our dedicated team of sewing volunteers. The bear can be made from almost any item of clothing. Each bear is 20 – 25 cm tall when seated, each bear is unique using the materials provided by you. The suggested donation for each bear is £50 to cover the cost of the filling, buttons, thread and other materials needed plus a contribution to the hospice. Once you have placed your order we will contact you to arrange collection/delivery of the special garments that will be used to make your bear. Please note the bears can take 6 weeks to make. "I have volunteered for the Hospice for the last few years, making keepsake cushions, in memory of my dear friend Sue who was cared for here. It’s a privilege to be able to work with the different garments to create a treasured keepsake for those who have lost a loved one. The material memories is such a lovely project to be involved in (not only because I love Bears) but it’s creating something special to be treasured, whilst helping to support the Hospice."
